FREE RECYCLING EVENT!!!
Chances are you’re reading this after January 30th. That’s the day
where e-waste recyling is free at Cal Expo. But no worries! You can
still drop off your old electronics at CEAR, which stands for
California Electronic Asset Recovery. The drop-off for the general
public is free through the month of February. After February, TVs,
Monitors, Laptops and Portable DVD players will still be free; but
don’t wait…there could be a fee for other items. For some of you
reading ahead it could make for a clean sweep of your home or office.
For others, you might just be getting cash! Read ahead to learn more…
but first:
A list of accepted items:• TVs • cell phones • printers • copiers •
laser and multifunction scanners • electronic cables • fax machines •
video game consoles • DVD players • small kitchen appliances, such as
mixers and toasters

household waste, including fluorescent light bulbs, household
batteries, car batteries, paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning

BUSINESS OWNERS – MAKE MONEY WHEN RECYLING!!
An all-new concept developed at CEAR is the REVENUE SHARING program
where they will take your recyclables, remarket the valuable componets,
and you get paid! Your old equipment could be useless in the
marketplace – but there could be a goldmine once the “junk” is taken
apart – call them for a free estimate. This is straight from the
company’s website: “If you have materials that are no longer in use and
have previously been rated as no value; we have the capabilities of
vigorously separating the materials into valuable categories…After the
process is complete, we share the revenue with you!” You can log on to www.cearinc.com for more info!
INDIVIDUALS
It doesn’t appear that individuals can get cash for their items –
but it will clean out your closet! In fact, you may have to pay a small
fee to get rid of your stuff … and peace of mind. All hard drives are
shredded so that personal information is never prey to identity
thieves. And it saves our area land fills from being overwhelmed with
electronics.
